Bad Bunny's three consecutive sold-out performances at Estadio Atanasio Girardot in May 2026 brought Medellín to a standstill — in the best possible way. Roughly 120,000–135,000 fans attended across three nights, generating an estimated $7 million per night in ticket revenue alone, according to ColombiaOne industry reporting.
The concerts are the latest chapter in Medellín's transformation into Latin America's premier live entertainment destination. Colombia led all South American countries in concert revenue in 2025 with $99 million, surpassing traditional powerhouses Brazil ($80M), Chile ($60M), and Argentina ($55M). Atanasio Girardot was the second-highest grossing venue in South America in 2025 with approximately $28 million in revenue and 280,000 attendees.
Three back-to-back Bad Bunny nights transform Medellín economically and logistically. Hotels in El Poblado and Laureles were completely sold out, with visitors flying in from across Colombia and neighboring countries. Restaurants reported 2–3× normal revenue on concert evenings. Uber and DiDi demand surged around the stadium (Estadio neighborhood), causing significant surge pricing after shows.
For visitors already in Medellín during concert nights: the Estadio metro station becomes extremely congested post-show (11pm–1am). If you're not attending, avoid the Estadio neighborhood during this window. The line between Industriales and San Javier runs packed trains continuously to manage the post-concert crowd flow.
The concert pipeline for Medellín in 2026 remains packed. Already confirmed: Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in October — the festival's first-ever Latin American edition. Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, and Rosalía have also confirmed Colombian dates for 2026. Check Ticketmaster Colombia and El Colombiano's entertainment section for the full calendar.
